Restoration fun times!

Box gutters are the answer sometimes, but goodness they can be hard work. We tend to avoid them as much as we can, because they will keep us awake at night when it rains. The one in the clip is one I've inherited - lucky it's a great view from the roof!

This exciting dual occupancy project in Ainslie is looking light filled, spacious and elegant, and this is the second dwelling with the 120sqm floor allowance.

This 2 storey studio is nestled in the back yard of this Torrens residence, it delightfully creates a courtyard with the pool. The materials have been chosen to diminish the external mass, create light play (the dampalon panels light up!). The internal plywood and green tones create a calm space for recreation and work, capturing multiple elegant displays of articulated light and light reflected from the pool.

Such a privilege working on Heritage houses. This one in Ainslie is matching in with the render, eave detailing, windows and flooring. With the modern additions of the sky lights to the north to maintain privacy but allow light, works well with the character of the existing house. Great work Luke for all the attention to this detail.

We had a photo shoot at an absolute wonder of a project today. It just shows how small moves and attention to details can make a simple cottage an amazing, modern, open, fun, functional and elegant dwelling. And, I'm extremely proud of the fact that we didn't need any additional space to achieve it!The garden is in progress; I'm excited to see how this enhances the connections.

A big thanks to the clients for their trust, dedication and creativity, but also Ruairi Taylor at indepth building solutions for making it happen.

Selections to date include rich timbers, elegant brushed nickle, cool concrete and brick, with sharp whites and black to tie it all together.

Absolute stunning location in Sutton, this elegant barn style house is flying out of the ground, and the building's ability to capture the views has become resoundingly apparent. We are incredibly impressed with the builders, Bryan and Ben from Connected projects, and appreciate their attention to building sealing, waterproofing and ventilation. To add to this they have kept our clients on track, well communicated with and happy too! Can't wait to see the cladding on and the joinery in - Fantastic work!

Allowing people to stay where they are settled and adapt their dwellings to allow them to grown in place. This project in Griffith adapted the subfloor space in the Three bed Stewart Architecture townhouse to allow for additional usable environment without extending the building. This gave the owners the flexibility to use this space for more than just a storage area. The key elements in achieving this were: Windows for natural light, insulation for thermal comfort, and vapour/moisture control to mitigate damp / mould and smell.

Thanks to REP building for their attention to detail and commitment to a quality outcome. The cutting windows in the loadbearing double brick must of been incredibly challenging, but it looks great.
